About the Daily Parade

The Daily Parade is a collecting space for drawings and writings, infused with the belief that every day holds something special to be discovered. It is a practice in impromptu storytelling, poetry, and illustration, with posts meant to be like looking through a window into moments of each developing story. The Daily Parade is for all ages and for anyone searching for wonder in the day.

The author-illustrator of The Daily Parade is Evan Linville. He is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has fifteen years of experience working therapeutically with children and over thirty years of loving to draw and tell stories. Evan began The Daily Parade as a discipline in looking for daily presence and as a means for sharing with others.

Making The Daily Parade possible and ensuring it runs smoothly is the blog’s editor, Emily Jenkins. Emily has always loved the world of words. With degrees in English Lit and Elementary Education, and a fondness for Classical Latin, she pours her love of words into the homeschooling of her two children as well as her work on The Daily Parade with Evan.

Evan and Emily are siblings, growing up together with their parents and two other brothers in Southwest Missouri. The newfound collaboration of working on the blog provides them with a fun and meaningful way to stay connected, even while living in different parts of the country.
